What Is Your Connection To Southern Soul Soul Blues
Nolan Scott aka Uncle Nolan My specialized sound n' style of Sothern Soul/Americana Music I call "Funkabilly" a fusion of Soul, Funk or Roots Rock with Country Funk or Swamp Rock Guitar elements. My parents and 3 older brothers were relocated from Texas to Connecticut in the early 50’s when my dad joined the Navy. Many relatives followed and I still can picture all the house parties, fish fries and barbecues we had, always filled with lots of dancing, singing, eating and just having a good ole time. That’s the vibe I want my music to convey to my listeners. I give thanks to my family and friends for the bridges that were built connecting me and my New England upbringing to The Musical Soul of the South.
